Paris Manga - First day

It has been 3 months since my last convention, and I missed conventions deeply.

I thought Creation Nashville was going to be my last one, but a good surprise happened at the beginning of this month when after a tweet I said to Mark, he announced a new convention on the last weekend of October in Paris.

Paris Manga & Sci-Fi Show by TGS Happened on the 28th and 29th of October at the Parc des Expositions in Villepinte.

I stayed in the Cyan Hotel with Regina. I arrived on Friday at lunchtime, it gave me the possibility to take a nap and chill before the awesome weekend since I spent the last days working, and… my old iPhone died so it was all a bit stressful before.

After my nap, I went to meet Katrin at the RER station and we went to her hotel to have dinner. It has been a year since I last saw her! So we caught up and enjoyed the evening. I went to my hotel afterward, and almost fell asleep when I heard a knock on my door, Regina arrived from Cologne! We were ready for Saturday.

Woke up and had breakfast together and we discovered the venue was closer than we thought originally. The queue was the biggest I saw in my life, but I was surprised by how quick and organized they were so it ended up being ten minutes of waiting outside. Of all the cons I attended, this was the most chill and organized of them all. I wasn’t expecting it, so I was quite surprised. Also, I must add the staff and handlers were so sweet and chill!

The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the ten rows we needed to walk through until I reached the end to be finally in the circuit.

Me and Regina got in line for the first part of the day: Mark’s selfies. You could do autos or selfies.

Rocking the RC t-shirts. Mark loved and recognised our tees!

At his table, he had photos from Lucifer and The Tomorrow People (Jed).

We were in the line waiting, he saw me and Regina and a lady came because he said he knew us (there are people for me he said) So we jumped in line since the Devil requested! He asked how we were.

We talked about how we were doing and he was still jet-lagged, also he wanted to know where we were staying.

Then the con and anime stuff - horror anime stuff he had no idea about! I told him some details about it since I used to be very into anime and manga, but I dropped it years ago. Also the difference between both. Alex (the handler) confirmed some animes are pretty twisted and dark. Japanese know how to do horror. I took Regina’s selfies after and Alex gave me her chair so I could sit next to Mark.

He asked me how I wanted to proceed and I just asked if he could grab my phone. We took four selfies, we were having a lot of fun posing and doing stupid faces. We continued to engage I don’t remember how the convo went to Twitter, but I was expressing how disappointed I was with the changes that Elon did, the algorithm, and Mark agreed - quoting him it was showing him people on the left and conservatives and I added that days ago I saw pretty ugly drama in the fandom, we both came to realize Misha and Destiel fans are the worst. Sorry, not sorry. I met wonderful people from that side, but the majority can rot. I also told them I don’t follow ships, I just care about Lucifer ha! Regina said she wanted him on Infinity Con because Jared is there and that is her dream PO, and since Mark’s new manager is Jared’s too…there’s a possibility. I want one with Jensen and Mark, they’re both my favorites, I told him I was a Dean girl before I turned to the dark side, and he said Dean had a dark side as well (Demon Dean, Mark of Cain, and Michael)! I asked him something about his flight, and we talked about long flights and the fact I stand a few times during flights because I just can't be seated in the same position for too long! And that I loved my last time in America, he asked me when I was going to LA. I said to him to try to be in Nashville in December. I hugged him and we left. Finally, Lu and Katrin were with us also! Was amazing to finally meet with Lu.

Me and Regina left him and went outside that area. In the end, he gave me the horns before we left for lunch.

I had fun experimenting with my new phone and its camera, so this time I filmed with it and not my camera.

Marky had a panel with all US guests. He made pretty funny mannerisms and expressions and he was looking at his little hellhound all the time. I recorded his questions:

Mark enters the stage

“Je suis le vrai Lucifer”

Mark asks Lea Thompson a question regarding acting with Eric Stoltz

The question is about the show with the two brothers and a car…

Mark brought socks and underwear from Supernatural set…

The favourite method of traveling in the show/movie

Mark is Luci!

Mark wants to play Quasimodo

Mark would teach the American Revolution

In the end, he added “We need enlightenment” after claiming we would teach the American Revolution.

It was time to meet with Mark again, he expressed how awkward he was feeling after dropping a bomb in the panel regarding the American Revolution history thing. But I think people were hopeful he would elaborate more about why. And since we are in France, there is a big percentage of people that don’t speak/understand English. Being the photographer I was in charge of taking pictures of everyone this weekend!

Alex already knew I was a photographer I wonder if Mark told her since I didn’t say anything haha

I also told him his French was very good (at the panel he tried to speak but ended up feeling self-conscious and did it in English) I do feel it’s quite good. And since he speaks slowly we can understand better what is he saying.

We did a family photo with Frankie (although he was a bit shy)!

Photo ops were next! But before that, I was interrupted while talking to my friends by a sweet girl who complimented my hat! My hat gets a lot of compliments. Then came the surprise! They (I assume they were a couple) knew my blog and Tumblr! It is lovely to meet people who share the same passions as you and I felt my work as a creator was being noticeable and loved internationally.

I was insanely happy that day. I needed a day like this.

Me and Lu decided to do two rounds in the photos so that we could see him twice.

They gave us small yellow round tokens that represented the number of photos we were gonna do.

I did a duo sandwich with Katrin.

He hugged a lot during the first photo… they took a while to shoot. It's not as Creation or other cons that you barely have time to breathe.

I felt his breath and felt him squeezing me tight to him. I love how this photo turned out!

Then it was time for round two…

My dear Emi who wasn’t present gave me the idea to ‘kiss’ behind my cowboy hat…

I won't talk about what happened backstage ;) I was always walking towards the wrong direction after the photos…stupid old habits.

The last autos or selfies were now!

Mark was signing a few stuff for my friends, I filmed him signing the book of Ayn Rand to Regina, he was talking bad about his handwriting, sure sometimes I don’t understand what he wrote, but honestly I think it is a nice handwriting (my teachers always struggled hard to fix my tests…so I understand).

We continued to talk about the Revolution matter, and I said they don’t teach that in school - they mention because it has an impact, but we just focus on the history and background of our countries.

Mark was very supportive and grateful of our presence. We are always there for him, as he is for us. He could be with him all the time, so we had meetings at every hour.

The first day was amazing and I met new people. The second day is coming next Monday! I will produce a big video for Youtube and some photos of Mark that I took.
