Creation Nashville

Creation Nashville took place at The Grand Hyatt - 8-10th December and it was named NashVegas con!

The final convention of 2023 certainly evokes a particular sentiment. The idea of attending five conventions in a single year seemed unimaginable to me! Some were meticulously planned, while others were spontaneous decisions, which we adore. At least, I do... not sure about you!

Visiting Nashville had long been a cherished dream of mine. So, after Atlanta, my friends Emi and Rachel made a spur-of-the-moment decision to book tickets for this one. Nashville, the city of country music, with its vibrant live music scene and rich history rooted in Tennessee, held an irresistible allure.

Eager to immerse ourselves in Nashville's charm, we arrived earlier than usual, allowing ample time for exploration before the convention commenced.

The registration process for Creation Nashville was slightly delayed due to another event taking place at the hotel. However, armed with our PREFERRED SEATINGS passes, we dutifully registered each morning for the three-day event. We also took the opportunity to peruse the vendors' stalls, where I treated myself to a necklace and an SPN tote bag.

Our accommodation at Hayes Street Hotel exceeded our expectations. Situated just a short 7-minute drive away, it offered fantastic value with a delightful continental breakfast and exceptional staff service.

I intend to share my Nashville experience on my Photography website, although I anticipate some changes before it's ready. Be sure to stay tuned! If you're passionate about travel, I regularly document my adventures and share videos of the cities and places I visit.

Hey one thing about Nash…this store has this offer of buying one pair and you get 2 pairs for free. The three of us did, 120$ each!

Friday was the first day of the con, and it started super smooth. We did our registration and bought more photo ops. We lost the opening but we caught DJ Qualls opening the event!

Note: Different from what I’ve been doing I will post the PANELS and MY PHOTO OPS on a SEPARATE POST.

DJ was funny and amazing as usual. He knows how to rock the stage.

Rachel Miner - virtual panel came after and it was the second time I watched her. I can’t wait to meet her in person one day. She seemed so much better than the last time I saw her (SF).

I had a lot of photo ops this time, exciting times!

After we visited David Haydn Jones at his table, he remembered we had the interview together for my blog, so we booked for Sunday. It was great to see him since SF. His line was huge. He was one of the most requested guests.

We took 3 different selfies. This was my favourite. Plus he was dressed for the occasion.

YES/NO Trivia with Jason Manns was next and I and Rachel participated and I lost almost at the end (can’t believe I SAID YES in that question oopsy). But I do enjoy this trivia quite a lot.

Gabe Tigerman was the next guest on stage and the first time I met him. I decided to ask a question since it was somehow empty. My question was “If you were another character in Supernatural who would you pick?” and he said Dean of course ;)

Intermission meant…lunchtime! We hit the Whole Foods that was close to the venue and returned to still watch a bit of Jason Mann’s panel. I managed to film a funny part of his panel for my vlog.

David Haydn-Jones and Gil's panel followed, and they were well-prepared for it. David delighted the audience by singing throughout his panel, which drew a large crowd. During the Q&A session, I asked them about their karaoke song choices—details can be found in my post covering the panels.

This marked my debut filming panels for my YouTube channel. I brought along my tripod specifically for this purpose. Despite some initial stress, especially with Gayle absent on Friday—who usually assists with filming—I managed to capture footage of the panels she missed. I'm relieved I could provide content for those unable to attend conventions or travel, as many rely on YouTube for such experiences. It's how I initially got involved; during quarantine, I found the time to watch every panel and convention. Finally, in 2023 I had the opportunity to attend a Creation event in person.

On that day I took Photo Ops with: David, Briana, Kim & Gil.

Briana and Kim threw the last panel of that day. I asked a question at the end, but more like thanking them for the Wayward Podcast they created and they were such a beautiful feminine inspiration to me and others.

Check my separate post for those after this one :)

The day programming ended and we didn’t have extras apart from photos so we went to chill and have dinner at the restaurant the Hotel. Karaoke started around 9 pm.

Rachel, Emi and I

I was wearing a red jacket that everyone loved. It's a testament to the treasures one can find in such stores. My mind was consumed with thoughts of the perfect poses to strike with the esteemed guests. It was a first for me to have so many photo ideas planned in advance!

Arriving early, we secured our place at the front of the line, ensuring a prime view once the event began. Eventually, we were granted permission to stand, reminiscent of the good old days. Though a few chairs remained, the atmosphere was relaxed, with this audience displaying a more laid-back vibe compared to previous gatherings. Perhaps fatigue had set in for some, but as a night owl, I felt right at home.

During the YES/NO trivia session, I eagerly signed up for karaoke, selecting Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead Or Alive" as my song of choice, with another tune as a backup option. Unfortunately, I wasn't chosen to perform, but my friend Rachel stole the spotlight with her rendition of AC/DC's "Shook Me All Night Long," rocking the stage with her impressive vocals.

And with that Friday came to an end. I never felt so tired in my life…oh yes 14 hours of convention exactly + jet lag? Time to sleep.

Saturday received us with fantastic energy. The weather was although different, not that cold like the previous days (trust me Nash can become quite cold during the Winter).
Registration again (at this point I was just grumbling to the heavens about having to do this every day) but it was worth it because we got fantastic seats almost front row, which allowed me to do good photos at the panels and better light as well.

Briana and Kim had the first panel and then came the Smallville one. I never watched the show, it is not my type, to be honest, but the actors are amazing and have great chemistry on stage. I met Tom Welling in Atlanta because he was on Lucifer Netflix. Michael has a podcast apparently and he is super charismatic everywhere he touches, and it is the first time I met Erica.

It was super early to have that energy so they always carry a drink.

Intermission came, and because there was a huge demand for Smallville guests the photo ops started to delay everything, even Misha’s panel. My next photo ops were Jojo and Drake of the Winchesters. I didn’t do Meg this time because she was going to be in another con in 2024.

Me and my friends greeted David at his table, he was super busy again, and I checked again the vendors with my friends.

Me and Emi waiting for something :)

The delay complicated things, the venue was noticeably more packed than on Friday, we know the Boys and Misha do bring more people on the weekend, so because of that I had to wait for my J2 with Baby and I was starving…but luckily I met a wonderful American couple that fed me. It's moments like these that reaffirm just how warm and hospitable Americans can be. Thank you, America—I always feel right at home in your embrace!

It was raining a bit and it was hot. The line for J2 with Baby was outside. I had no idea what was gonna happen 3 hours after that…

After that, I met my friends who waited for me and we went to lunch. We lost Misha and The Winchesters panel due to my photo ops and our lunch. But our appetite has priority sorry!

I and Emi did the Winchesters photo with Jensen, I asked him if I could put my hands on his chest…when I saw his face expression in the photo I gently thought he did like it and I died. We arrived in time for David, Gil, and DJ panel. My jaw was hurting from the constant laughter. Thanks for always being phenomenal on stage!

Rob and Rich were on the last panel that day. This duo is one of my favorite duos in the cast. They were made for each other? No, I’m not shipping them (funny I’m not fond of ships at all in this fandom) but their friendship is unique and I love what they’ve been creating together. But…then we all received this suddenly.

I’m sorry tornado??? What do you mean there is a tornado close??

So they started to joke and the panel continued for 20 minutes until the Hotel announced we all needed to evacuate and the lights were on suddenly. Rob wanted to continue the panel but soon they realized we all needed to go to the garage. And so we did.

In a moment you are in a SPN con…and next, you’re in a tornado warning.

The whole hotel sought shelter in the garage, we had to go down a couple of stairs to reach the very end. I was super calm and excited because it was my first time, but I was aware of some people who were panicking and crying. For some Americans, this is an everyday situation. Apparently, tornadoes are very frequent at that time of the year in TN state.

When we reached the garage we saw a huge amount of crowd going crazy and then I realized why: Jared was throwing a Q&A in the middle of the evacuation. We figured we just wanted to keep people calm and have fun meanwhile we waited for more updates.

I saw other cast members, they were waiting and I saw that Drake was trying to keep Meg calm. Our friend Rachel was telling stories about Oklahoma tornados and everything. I find these things quite fascinating.
I think we were there for 20 minutes and finally, the Hotel told us it was safe to continue our activities. Let’s go back to life!

The panels were done that day, but there was still a lot to do like autos and the rest of the photo ops.
And after me and Emi had a photo op with Davey and Gil. We dressed for the occasion by changing our jumpsuits that we also were in the SNS - Saturday Night Special.

Gil was giving CDS to us - who did this DUO

We were done and went to have dinner in the hotel restaurant once again.

About the tornado well it didn’t hit our location…but it caused trouble and destruction where it landed. We ended up checking some videos and footage and it was…hell on earth.

The concert arrived and we managed to keep our seatings - we had our doubts due to the preferred seatings pass this time, we always had Silver or Copp.er

SNS was beautiful and unique. New guests singing plus new songs! We had a blast once again, thanks Louden Swain and the guests for making our evenings special.

Photo someone took of the setlist that night

I met Charlie in Karaoke! Sweet and cool guy.

Me and Rachel getting ready for the last day

The final day is inevitably bittersweet, and ours took an unexpected turn when David didn't show up. Our scheduled interview was canceled and postponed, adding to the disappointment. However, the day wasn't without its highlights—I had thrilling photo ops with numerous other guests.

We arrived just as the Gold Panel commenced. I purchased Lucifer paint and took the opportunity to capture some footage for my video, focusing on the intricate details of the event.

We watched the quick trivia, another epic event by Jason Manns. I had photo ops with Louden Swain and Jason and Paul Carella who joined in our event and ended up singing last night in the last song which was a wonderful surprise! Captain rocks. If you don’t know him make sure to check his work out.

So Jason did his solo photo ops with Paul and we took advantage of doing it with them last minute.

I had my solo with Jensen who made my weekend because it is one of my favorite photo ops ever.

Me and Emi did the J2 duo, she grabbed a Moose and I grabbed a Squirrel.

DJ did the first panel in the afternoon after the auctions. We had to leave for lunch so we lost the panel of Rob and Rich next, the problem in the big conventions is finding time to manage to do everything and still do your human tasks.

We arrived at the Walker panel whose panel is among my top favorites. Sundays are also the busiest days with the J2 panel.

After a brief intermission, our favorite Hunters arrive on stage: Jensen and Jared!
And it was my favorite of theirs. We laughed and they shared deep moments with their family and talked about work from their perspective, that they lost moments with their friends because they’re working, and they gave the feeling that this industry is not easy when it comes to schedules and times.

I love how they were matching shirts by color.

We gotta thank them for this legacy that is the SPNFamily.

My last duo of the day was with Jared and Keegan, I absolutely love their brother chemistry in the Walker show.

After that…my friends were done I just had a photo with Chris Schmelke the photographer of CE. I have an interview to schedule with him.

It was the end of the con for us, we relaxed at the autos to wait for our last photo ops to get printed.

Nashville con had a lot of unique and different emotions, but I can’t wait to visit this city again. We still had a couple of days in the city to finish our tour.

Merch and stuff I bought this weekend.

Check my next 2 posts for my photo ops and the panels.
